Dream Diary Entry recorded July 16, 2018

My dream involved finally getting to the old office from which I retired (it only resembled a few actual offices in which I have worked) and gathering together books and assorted other personal items to bring home. The books were plenteous, enough to fill more than one large cardboard box. Among the items was a large video collection, DVDs or Blu-Ray discs of a complete television show's run, covering multiple seasons. It was a hybrid show, equally Doctor Who and Twin Peaks. (Yeah, I know, right up my alley.) Later, I apparently had gotten the stuff all packed up, and now it was in someone's living room. I don't remember whose, or if it was someone I know. The living room had an entertainment center set up on one end, all the equipment sitting atop something almost like a mantel, but with no fireplace. There was a wall-length short wall, maybe three feet tall, made or topped with old brick, and a possibly two-tiered shelf atop that. The items I had brought home were spread across this, but as I was gathering some of them up, starting at the extreme right-hand end and working left (reference to reading Hebrew?), I realized once I had picked up a half-dozen small to medium sized items that what I had picked up were not mine. This realization happened as I looked at each item in turn, so I went from thinking I'd made one mistake, to seeing that I'd made a half-dozen. I put them back. At some point in the dream, I was in that same room, only now it was more dimly lit in the evening, and I was preparing to watch one of the DVDs of that big show collection, an early one, but a particular edit I'd not seen before that stitched together the first four episodes into a five-hour result. I started the disc, and there was Carel Struycken as himself, giving the introduction to the special disc. He made the remark that this would be five hours long, and that viewers wishing to watch it continuously through might want to tend to their restroom needs beforehand.
